Alessandro Solidoro set up the firm bearing his name in 1994, after operating as a partner in a leading chartered accountancy practice in Milan.
He specialises in corporate rescue, forensic accounting, corporate governance and business evaluations.
He assists companies in economic difficulties with restructuring and turnaround operations. He also takes on missions as receiver in compositions with creditors and compulsory liquidation and expert in negotiated crisis resolution agreements.
He acts as an independent expert in composition with creditors procedures, restructuring agreements and certified recovery plans.
The experience built up in occupying official positions on behalf of Courts and Chambers of Commerce has enabled him to develop extensive professional know-how based on a global vision, while at the same time continuing to pay attention to every detail in the recovery process for medium and large enterprises.
He is an independent expert accredited by the National Corporate Restructuring Fund (Fondo Nazionale Ristrutturazioni Imprese) managed by the National Strategic Fund (Patrimonio Rilancio) unit run by the Ministry for the Economy and Finance.
He frequently takes on technical consultancy mandates in civil and criminal proceedings or legal actions involving corporate bodies.
He has extensive experience as an independent, non-executive director on the boards of directors of medium and large enterprises and major international banking groups, on behalf of which he also operates as the chairman of control and risk committees.
He has acted as the sole director of a number of major municipally owned companies.
He is the Chairman of the Board of Auditors of several medium and large enterprises belonging to Italian and international groups.
He lectures in Business Evaluation at Bicocca University in Milan.
He regularly writes articles on corporate rescue for important sector reviews, and is frequently asked to speak on related matters at conferences and conventions.
He graduated in Economics with honours and distinction at Bocconi University, is a Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor, and a CPA registered with ICAEW (the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales).
He has occupied institutional roles as chairman of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants of Milan and Director of the National Council of Chartered and Certified Accountants.
He is a former vice-chairman of Accountancy Europe, the leading European association of accounting experts, with registered office in Brussels.
